I finally decided what I'm going to do with this Tumblr Account! Aside from the typical reposts of my art, self-promotion and such, I'm going to use it primarily as a live, public diary of my adventure in Vtubing, streaming and content creation, so here goes my very first entry. I think I'm going to try to do this daily, at the very least I'll make one weekly and on big events.

Dear Tumblr,

it's currently 1:22 AM, 12/11/23. I've been interested in becoming a Vtuber for roughly a year now, and have slowly done tons of research, watched hours of Vtuber content for fun and advice, built up art and assets, came up with a new Sona design, customized models, and have spent hours upon hours of work making art and assets related to that goal. Boy they really don't tell you how much work it is to be a streamer/content creator, especially when you're broke and doing it all by yourself. Speaking of broke... I'm currently out of work, money is very low, and I'm very stressed out. I made the mistake of leaving my old job for a new one that I hoped would be a good opportunity, but I had to leave on day one for moral and public health reasons I won't get into. I have put in dozens of applications the last two weeks and have mainly only received automated emails; I have done 2 Zoom interviews for two different jobs, and then was never given a call or email back. My old job won't take me back for reasons beyond me. I admitted this in an OkayDonuts stream a day or so ago, and he said similar issues motivated him to start streaming. This gives me so much hope that I can have the great community and career success that he has that I so desire-If he could do it, so can I! Right? I just really like making stuff, I've always liked learning new techniques both physical and digital; crochet, clay sculpting, wood carving, painting, graphic design, 3D modelling/Texturing, game design. I wasn't good at much as a kid, but art was my passion, and the best part was seeing how happy it made other people. I just want to make cool things that make people happy and create a community of similarly creative people to share our passions and bring more kindness and cool creations into the world. I don't want to be an uber rich Mr. Beast level celebrity, I just want to make enough that I don't need a menial job I suffer at. Simply making a decent living in this world off my art would be a blessing, it would be so much better for my mental health. Speaking of which, if you're reading this....did you know I take commissions? Please commission me, I hungy :'( But seriously, as of writing this, I have $43.20 in my bank account. My phone bill alone is $45. My partner and I have family support, so we'll get by ok, but the struggle and having to ask for help is really getting to me. On the bright side, since we should count our blessings- I have a really nice microphone since my partner tried streaming a couple years ago and is letting me use it whenever I need! I have a really good laptop from my college days that can run everything I need without getting TOO overwhelmed. I have a really good drawing tablet that I bought a couple years ago when I was doing a little better financially (It's much easier to save money when you're living with your parents and work 40 hours a week for $13/hr and your parents pay for everything) Losing my job may be a blessing in disguise because In my stress I have gone into a manic state and began going crazy getting my custom stream Overlays done, fully animated Stream Opening, BRB and Closing Screens, stinger transition animation, a functioning PNGTuber, and multiple drawings/animations for alerts/emotes/rewards/etc. and yes that includes things I didn't know I needed to be a Twitch Affiliate to even use...lol...I'm currently working on an animated lore video for my debut that I will also record a voice-over for. Lastly, a more recent thing-My partner found a gamer chair in the dumpster at our apartment last week after I had spent a couple months trying to find one-the cheapest ones on Facebook Marketplace in our area were like $80-and it's in near perfect condition, only a bit of scuff/rip on the seat and arm rests. How crazy is that? I gave it a good scrub-down and its good to go. I choose to take that as a sign from the universe that I'm on the right path. Wish me luck! With lots of love, Kaeru Kobold

I honestly figured he'd be too busy, but also figured it wouldn't hurt to at least ask, so I'm super glad he agreed to do it! 'Cause hey, look! 2D animated Cor! It's so fierce and nice to see. I say it in the video, but I'm saying it again, everyone needs to go and look at everything Matt does. He's genuinely so good at everything I've seen him do and his streams have some of the best vibes of a stream I've ever seen. Some of my friends know him as "the one person on twitch I'm subscribed to" because it's true. I honestly aspire to be that chill in my streams. He's one of those people I look at for inspiration, because where better to feel inspired than by talented people with some serious passion for their craft? The 3D model isn't completely retired. Eventually I do plan on alternating between the two. But currently I am living, laughing, and loving being a pngtuber!

This here video is to showcase my new pngtube avatar commission by the charming and talented Matt, also known as eiffelart. He's a delightful, talented, and charming man and everyone should appreciate and respect him. I honestly was pleasantly surprised that he agreed to take on this commission, 'cause to me it was very random and shot in the dark so I just… didn't hurt to ask, I figured, but boy howdy am I glad he agreed to do it, because this looks great, and just as I knew he would, he kept things cute. Which is the biggest priority of all, obviously. I was thinking of how to showcase the different emotes and stuff and I didn't want to do the same thing that I did for my 3D vtube model, which… if you haven't already seen it and you want to want to, just click the commission tag on this post and scroll down a bit. so! first things first -- mim is the pngtuber model/brain guy of @l0stmyfr0g! i'm definitely biased, but i'd absolutely recommend giving them a watch if you ever get the chance - his streams are super calming and they're always a lovely vibe c:

before i start going off the deep end, i will say that all of this is the result of my brain going absolutely bonkers. take this all as headcanons! as much as i love theorizing for c!mim, i definitely don't want to overwrite the incredible lore that the creator has done already c:

SO. OOOHHH BOY. okay. c!mim.. i am so so irregular about him. he is the most crinklable guy ever. absolute tinfoil of a dude. could get scrunched soo hard for real.

i don't want to spoil some of the stuff that mim's working on, so i'll go with the most basic version of mim's story! (i'll mention before i start that mim, both the character and the creator, go by any pronouns, so i'll be referring to him as he/she/they!)

all story excerpts are mine :]

the basic gist:

c!mim, long ago, created a machine that bought them back from death. it twisted them irrevocably into something more animal than human; more, mim has found himself immortal, unable to die by any means.

in the accident that caused mim's death and rebirth, a fire started, leveling the town to ash. and... look, fire's not unusual, but there's something... off. something acrid, twisted and unclean, as if the fire had burned hot enough to scorch a hole between worlds, and.

the fire leaves nothing. ash and dust and acrid blue smoke, thick enough that the fire has to splutter to survive. it doesn't spread far -- suffocated by its own smoke, it barely reaches the edge of the town. the treeline remains intact; the bark grows back off-colour, sure, but when he wakes it is dark and winter, and in that light it is barely noticeable. they do not stick around long enough to see differently. it's stupidly poetic. he had not cared for its people, but there is record of neither town nor fire, and nobody left living thinks it anything but a forest. there are no graves for the dead. no crumbling buildings or mosaic stone pathing; just a forest, stained with ash, and a treeline slightly wrong. her town (her life) has become only kindling, and she -- its executioner -- is the only one who can repair it. reparation feels like redemption. it is an honour he doesn't deserve. ..he doesn't. can't bring himself to, maybe, or just doesn't care.

and mim doesn't remember the fire (or, at the least, the memories are not something she thinks of) -- but the invention... it's gone. not destroyed in the fire - couldn't have been, since mim is still here. it's bought them back, and it's gone, and something has shifted in the universe. pulled back the curtain of reality ever-so-slightly, indigo blue and twinkling like a crude, mocking galaxy.

...mim hears of skulk, of course. shit, they don't know how long they were dead, but by the time they are bought back, warped and distorted, you cannot go into town without hearing of skulk. and he doesn't experience it, not directly, but there are... stories. stories of creeping roots of dark and filth, and it's not.. it's not his invention. can't be. but there are enough similarities that-.

...well. it's not something he likes to dwell on.

that was all pretty much canon, but i couldn't help but think. well . what would it look like, to be possessed by skulk? and i think. if c!mim was possessed by skulk - it's creator, accidentally or otherwise - it would be a symbiotic relationship, rather than parasitic.

it takes awhile to notice. but c!mim watches something die, holds someone in their arms as they drift into the afterlife, and as he places them down he notices skulk spread from beneath them. notices soft dust on her arms that looks like tiny stars it is not corrupting her. no, it needs her too badly for that. instead, it. waits. follows behind in their footsteps. takes over the shallow imprints of dirt. most of the time it dies immediately. is corroded by light and daytime, but sometimes-- sometimes, it finds something to latch on to. sometimes, mim kills a mob and skulk spreads like tendrils from its decaying corpse, even with no skulk nearby. even with daylight, bright and burning, cutting into the dark, flesh-like roots. and sure, it withers fairly quickly, but it survives beneath the dirt. digs down into stone and darkness and caves. (and eventually - eventually - it carves itself a home.)

that's all i've got right now, but. man. man. corruption is my favourite thing to play with .

He stumbles over her feet into the candlelit room, vision blurring with unbridled desperation, Emyr's body, so cold he cannot bear it, tumbling from their arms to the floor. Their shoulders are square, hunched with tense despondency, and she faces her invention, sharp and shadow-cut with the cold midnight evening. "Save him!" she shouts, her wavering voice on the edge of breaking, so unbearably loud it echoes through her lab. "You-- I- I made you, so you'll save him! That's what you're here for!" The invention does not answer. Cannot; sits in the darkest corner of the room and pulses. She crouches to the slate floor, nudges his body to the mechanical mouth of the machine, and stares through their eyelashes to its gaping silver mouth.

Slowly - too slowly, so slowly he cannot bear it - webs of mycelium creep towards the body, twisting and weaving over itself to form a breathing lilac blanket. They push themselves backward, watching it with wide eyes; prays for it to work in fierce, desolate murmurs. He can only watch as it eats into Emyr's skin; overtakes his bruising body with aching determination, up the hollow of his chin and over his eyes. and then it stops. and it does not move further. "No," he gasps desperately, "no, nonono- you have to work." The invention does not reply. Sinks into Emyr where the fungus had overtaken him, its unnatural purple hue tauntingly still, and there is no breath to follow as the corpse simply lays there, body overcome with mycelium rot.

Who's the little axolotl guy?

ohoho anon get ready for a long answer because you have just asked about my most developed oc 😏

Their name is Chip! (he/they) They're the main character of a story concept I've had in the back of my mind for a while now, and I also use them as my pngtuber model on Twitch (or I would. If I ever streamed there NJANSDKJNKS)

He's from a little group of OCs that my friend and I call "the Craftworld gang" because I haven't come up with a good name for them yet. Each of them has a magic power or item that is craft-based (one of them can fold origami weapons, one of them has a beefed up glue gun, etc). Chip can create potions out of paint :)

He originated as a Deltarune darkner OC based on a real plush that I own, the Snoozimals axolotl (sweet boy pictured below)

Here's some older sketches of them! Tumblr wont let me put the images in the correct order for some reason but the one with the glasses came first and the other was the redesign. I ended up removing his glasses when I gave him horns bc I thought he looked like a NERD it made him more expressive 😊

He's an orphan living in a magical village protected by a mage named Aria, who is also Chip's mentor and mother figure. They've learned everything they know about magic from her and they have a super close bond. I need to develop her way more but just know that she is a sweetheart who loves her son.

all of hololive english, indonesia, most of japan. nuff said, theyre all great peeps. they all feel like mainstays just weeks after debut, even the newest members. so it really is shocking whenever someone leaves.

nijisanji en , the first two waves of girls. starting to watch nina and millie more. should check out the guys more. i know theres tons of other nijipeeps but i dont really see many clips floating around of them. 

VOMs, pikamee i can watch streams. she’s a streamer for sure with how she interacts with chat. the other 3 in the group seem great, not a lot of translations though.

vshojo, definitely respect all of them. mostly watch nyanners and ironmouse though.
